DriveWorks Welcomes Technical Territory Manager – Asia Pacific, to Support VARs & Users Across the Region
Ahmed Lasheen is the Newest Member of the DriveWorks Team
The DriveWorks user and reseller communities continue to expand at pace, and we have welcomed a number of new and experienced team members to the DriveWorks team this year.
Common goals, collaboration, and shared knowledge are what make DriveWorks the leading design automation and sales configurator choice for manufacturing companies across more than 50 countries.
With more than 12 years of experience in the mechanical engineering design field, we are delighted to be welcoming Lasheen into the DriveWorks team as Technical Territory Manager, Asia Pacific. Lasheen has worked with DriveWorks for many years, and has lots of experience in the CAD industry, with a focus on SOLIDWORKS.
Lasheen began his career as a Mechanical Engineer in Egypt and then Saudi Arabia. Most recently he worked for established DriveWorks reseller, Central Innovation covering Australia and New Zealand supporting DriveWorks and SOLIDWORKS software.
Lasheen has gained experience in many aspects of DriveWorks technology and supported it across many industries. This puts him in a good position to take on his new role at DriveWorks, providing support and knowledge to those wanting to evolve as resellers and users of DriveWorks software.

Lasheen has proved himself extremely valuable to the DriveWorks community as he continues year on year to build his own DriveWorks knowledge and share his tips & tricks with others.Â
Lasheen has been a member of the DriveWorks community for many years, and has been involved in many of our events, as both an attendee and as a presenter.
Most recently, Lasheen joined us at DriveWorks World and presented at DriveWorks Drivers – sharing his knowledge and experience.
Having long been part of the DriveWorks community, he has a lot of enthusiasm for DriveWorks and for helping other users to get the most out of the software.

Demand for automation and online 3D configurators is accelerating around the world. So, working with our investors, BGF, we’ve developed plans for each region. One outcome of this work has led us to appoint a Technical Territory Manager for the Asia Pacific region.
We are very pleased to welcome Lasheen. He brings relevant experience and enthusiasm for the software. As an engineer, he has used DriveWorks to design “same but different” products. And, he has worked for DriveWorks Resellers in two separate territories.
Lasheen’s channel experience will help him to further support and train our resellers. Based in New Zealand, he will also encourage the wider DriveWorks Asia Pacific community, to connect and share knowledge.”
Growing the DriveWorks Team
We are always pleased to be growing the DriveWorks team and welcoming new employees.
Over the past year, we have had lots of new starters across all areas of the business.
In 2021 as well as celebrating our 20-year anniversary, we also received investment from BGF, an established, independent investment company that has backed almost 400 businesses in the UK since 2011.
BGF’s funding is already supporting investment in the company and in our technology.
In May 2021, we welcomed experienced senior business leader, Sharon Baylay as Non-Executive Chair.
Then in October, we welcomed Philip Stears as Chief Technology Officer.
We have also welcomed more placement and graduate students than ever to our team in 2022!
