Catching Up With Our Community

Our Community

We love being a part of the SOLIDWORKS Community! With the support of our resellers, customers and partners, we have attended SWUG meetings, sponsored meetings and helped group leaders to find presenters with interesting presentations since 2015.

Although this past year has been very different, we have still had the chance to connect with the SWUG Community through many online meetings and during virtual 3DEXPERIENCE World 2021.

Recently, we have been busy catching up with lots of different people from all corners of the SOLIDWORKS Community.

It’s been great to learn more about the different career paths that have led members of the community to being such a key part of the network.

Here’s What You’ve Missed

Catch up on any blogs you may have missed.

Dan Wagner

We started our conversations with Dan. Getting to know him abit better and learn about his journey to becoming Manager of the SOLIDWORKS User Group Network.

Marie Planchard

We had the chance to sit down with Marie (virtually of course) and get to know a bit more about her early years, education, being a woman in engineering and what brought her to work for SOLIDWORKS.

Simge Akarsu

Next, we spoke with Simge, Senior Strategy & Program Manager at Dassault Systèmes. We listened to her inspiring story and how she has grown into the roles that she has had in the industry over the years.

Mike Puckett

Before 3DEXPERIENCE World, we caught up with Mike, Senior Manager of the Certification Program at SOLIDWORKS. Mike gave us a better insight into the Certification Program.

Jeff, Technology Evangelist at GSC joined us to talk about his early days with GSC and also his experiences in attending ‘world’ events over the last 20+ years.

Eric was our 2020 DriveWorks SWUGN Leader of the Year. We heard how for him, it has always been about education and sharing – with a true energy and enthusiasm for the  SOLIDWORKS Community.

Sean Borchert

During DriveWorks World 2021, Sean, Mechanical Engineer at MasterflexŽ  shared his story as to how DriveWorks has played a role in his professional career.
