Behind the Scenes at DriveWorks World 2022

During DriveWorks World 2022, we were joined by over 700 DriveWorks customers, resellers and partners from 40 different countries to talk and learn about everything DriveWorks. Once again the event was jam-packed with tons of valuable content.

Behind all of the cameras that brought DriveWorks World to you, there were a lot of cogs turning to bring two days of online technical learning and knowledge sharing.

What Happened at DriveWorks World 2022

Once again, DriveWorks World was an all-virtual event with he entire DriveWorks World event hosted on DriveWorks World TV, broadcast live from DriveWorks HQ from 10am-10pm (BST).

The 2 days were packed with technical learning sessions, customer presentations, keynote sessions, and plenty of learning and knowledge sharing sessions.

Plus we of course revealed What’s New in DriveWorks 20 and chatted through more ideas for the future of DriveWorks software.

At the end of each day we also hosted some fun DriveWorks themed quizzes.

DriveWorks World is always a fantastic opportunity for us to get together with, and bring together, our customers, resellers and partners from around the world for learning, networking and sharing ideas.

DriveWorks World sparks all sorts of important conversations, knowledge sharing  and technical discussions.

See what we got up to during the event here.

Focusing on Quality Content

During a visit to the Warrington Business Conference late last year, we met media and production company, Ludovico. We connected with Ludovico and arranged to work with them for DriveWorks World.

Ludovico handled the setup and running of all of the A/V at DriveWorks World, so our team could focus on optimising the presentations and content they were delivering.

Darren, Dave, Ian, Grant, Giuseppe and Jamie from Ludovico were onsite with us 10am-10pm each day, making sure the live broadcast ran smoothly and we had great audio and visuals throughout. Their expertise in media production took some pressure off the DriveWorks team and it was great to work with another business from the Warrington Business Exchange.

A Team Effort

DriveWorks World wouldn’t be possible without input from everyone at DriveWorks, the planning, preparation and running of the event involves all teams. DriveWorks World 2022 really was a year in the making, with the planning and preparation starting right after the broadcasting of DriveWorks World 2021.

It’s not just the event that requires input from the entire DriveWorks team. It wouldn’t be a DriveWorks World without DriveWorks CEO, Glen Smith announcing What’s New in the latest release of DriveWorks, sharing the exciting new additions and functionality added.

The DriveWorks development team worked hard to ensure the software was ready to release for DriveWorks World, with plenty of time for our rigorous quality assurance processes.

The DriveWorks Technical Team completed many manual and automatic tests to ensure the latest version was up to standard, and our Systems Team made sure our own DriveWorks projects were running the latest version and all PowerPacks were ready in time for DriveWorks World too.

Our Operations Team made sure all DriveWorks resellers had their license codes for DriveWorks 20, and our Sales & Marketing team made sure the software was ready to download, with all the resources needed.

Of course the latest release also had input from DriveWorks users, with many enhancements requests and suggestions making it into this latest release. We always welcome feedback from our users, and gather ideas and suggestions at DriveWorks World and throughout the year.

During the Event

All of the DriveWorks team attended DriveWorks World 2022, some were in person at DriveWorks HQ, and others were in their home offices.

The entire team were watching the broadcast and seeing the messages sent in the chat throughout the event. It was great to see so many of our customers, resellers and partners getting involved in the chat and sharing what features they were most excited about.

DriveWorks software developers were also in the chat, sharing their insights into particular features they had developed, and getting lots of well-deserved recognition and praise for the new features.

The DriveWorks forums and our weekly Let’s Chat About sessions, as well as our quarterly DriveWorks Drivers meetings are a great way to continue these conversations.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for DriveWorks World 2022! Throughout the event, we were joined by over 700 attendees from over 40 different countries.
