The DriveWorks CPQ Template is a series of DriveWorks projects and templates that when combined create a powerful CPQ solution. It’s a starting point for any DriveWorks customer and can be used as a complete CPQ solution or taken apart to use individual features and functionality.

On Saturday the DriveWorks team got together for our annual Summer Party. Automation IPA made a comeback and spent the afternoon playing games, eating pizza and having fun! It was a great way to say goodbye to the placements students returning to university soon and welcome the new placement students into our team!

DriveWorks 16 SP1 was released on 20th August 2018 and it is now available to download from the DriveWorks Community. Our developers have added some new features and updated code which has been tested rigorously by our tech team.

Each year the Pan-Mass Challenge brings together thousands of impassioned cyclists, committed volunteers, generous donors and dedicated corporate sponsors. On Friday 3rd August 2018, Heather from the DriveWorks team volunteered at this event for her 6th year. Heather’s husband Earl also rode with his son Ethan on Team Dassault.

Recently, Laing O’Rourke collaborated with Tony Gee and Partners and Cambridge University to develop a unified digital delivery process for the bridge industry. The project configures bridge designs from a set of key inputs and a library of parametric components. The design configuration tools, created using SOLIDWORKS and DriveWorks, provide a smoother digital process for the design, manufacture and assembly of components, which reduces the time it takes to complete a bridge.

We’ve been fundraising for a life-saving defibrillator since August last year. Following our recent bake sale, we’ve now reached our target! Thank you to everyone who has supported the cause and helped us reach our target!

We are pleased to announce that we have a new Authorized DriveWorks Reseller in Denmark – Teamworks!

Recently, Ethan and Alana from the First Robotics Team at Ayer Shirley Regional High School added to their SOLIDWORKS skills by completing the DriveWorksXpress Training and Certification, becoming Certified DriveWorksXpress Associates. They are the first high school students to take the certification and both scored exceptionally high. A huge well done to them and their CAD mentor, Earl.

Last week Heather from the DriveWorks team was in Charlotte, North Carolina, presenting at two SOLIDWORKS user group meetings. As Heather was going to be in the North Carolina area for a couple of days, we decided to organize a social networking get together for DriveWorks customers and resellers in the area.
