DriveWorks World 2026 Day One Highlights

Today marked the official start of DriveWorks World 2026, with hundreds of DriveWorks users and resellers joining us virtually from around the world. Our team of DriveWorks experts hosted a full schedule of live‑streamed sessions from DriveWorks HQ in the UK.

The live stream ran from 1pm to 9pm BST and featured a packed agenda of technical updates, expert insights, and customer stories. Attendees joined us through the DriveWorks World 2026 event app, where all sessions are also available to watch on demand if you weren’t able to catch them live.

Everyone at DriveWorks gets involved in the event. While some team members were busy hosting live stream sessions, others joined our watch party, answering questions in the live chat, and making sure everyone stayed well‑supplied with refreshments throughout the day.

DriveWorks World day one key takeaways

What’s new in DriveWorks 24 – Part 1 & 2

We showcased some of the new functionality coming in DriveWorks 24.

Live chat reactions were overwhelmingly positive, and for the DriveWorks team working on the new features, it was great to see such encouraging feedback.

The What’s New sessions were followed by deep dive sessions, with DriveWorks technical experts joining live in the studio to walk through some of the new features in more detail.

We’ll share more new functionality in two more What’s New in DriveWorks 24 sessions tomorrow.

DriveWorks 24 is scheduled for release at the end of July 2026.

DriveWorks World live implementation

We launched our first DriveWorks World live implementation feature last year, and it’s back by popular demand again this year.

The live implementation team is made up of DriveWorks technical experts and their brief is to redesign our steel door configurator to bring it up to date using the latest technology and UX best practices.

The team joined us live in the studio to share their progress and discuss how and why they have implemented specific features and functionality.

The live implementation will continue tomorrow and you’ll be able to try out the redesigned configurator on driveworkslive.com.

How manufacturers use DriveWorks

Three manufacturers shared how they use DriveWorks technology and the benefits they’ve achieved with DriveWorks. We heard from:

Thorp Precast – Based in the UK, Thorp Precast specializes in the design, manufacture, and erection of architectural cladding and structural precast concrete components. We were delighted to have Adam Green, R&D Manager, join us live in the studio at DriveWorks HQ to share their DriveWorks story.

SAFE-T-FAB – Based in the USA, SAFE-T-FAB develops custom platforms for unique access & fall protection applications. Their design team works directly with customers to develop solutions for work access, fall protection, material handling, and ergonomic requirements.

The Bradley Collection – Based in the UK, The Bradley Collection designs and manufactures custom drapery hardware.

Adopting new technology

A panel of DriveWorks technical experts shared their insights on adopting new technology, starting with an overview of why we release new versions of DriveWorks.

Best practice advice included taking a step back, not redoing everything, and making a sandbox. They also shared some quick, zero and low-effort wins you can implement to make a noticeable difference right away.

Paul Gimbel Award

We recently shared the sad news about the loss of our colleague and pivotal member of the DriveWorks community, Paul Gimbel. Paul was an outstanding role model in our community

In his honor, we’ve set up the DriveWorks Paul Gimbel award for technical excellence and community spirit.

Nominations can be submitted in the event app and the winner will be announced at the DriveWorks Drivers meeting on 4th June.
