DriveWorks Sponsors the High Sheriff’s Award for Digital Innovation

High Sheriff’s Awards for Enterprise

The High Sheriff’s Awards for Enterprise are the county’s most prestigious awards for business performance. Managed in partnership with the University of Chester, the awards were introduced in 2006 by the then High Sheriff of Cheshire, David Briggs MBE, to recognise successful businesses across the county.

The awards recognise outstanding achievements by enterprises in Cheshire, Halton and Warrington. Since starting in 2006, the awards have grown to become Cheshire’s prime business awards. Entrants are judged by a panel of senior members of the Cheshire business community on a range of criteria including enterprise, responsible business practice, innovation, development and export.

The awards are presented at an annual Awards Evening, bringing together Cheshire’s leading entrepreneurs and business leaders from private sector organisations of all shapes and sizes.

Presenting The High Sheriff Award for Digital Innovation

This year we were proud to be sponsoring the High Sheriff’s Award for Digital Innovation.

Digital innovation is the implementation of new digital technologies to solve existing business problems and improve organisational practices to create growth opportunities for organisations. The global marketplace is becoming more digital and businesses must evolve in order to stay competitive.

Digital innovation is something we’re extremely passionate about at DriveWorks, which is why we were delighted to have our very own CEO, Glen Smith, presenting the award in person at the University of Chester. Also in attendance from the DriveWorks team was Vice President, Maria Sarkar.

It was great to see what other businesses across Cheshire and Warrington are achieving through digital innovation and celebrating all their hard work.

Think Beyond Announced as Winner

As part of sponsoring The High Sheriff Award for Digital Innovation, the DriveWorks team were also on the judging panel for the award. We were able to see all of the entrants and read about their technological innovation across a vast span of different causes.

Based on the most innovative use of technology in business transformation, Think Beyond was chosen as the winner.

As judges, we felt that Think Beyond made innovative use of technology to introduce something new to marketing, providing insights that are valuable, actionable and already making a difference. We appreciated the fact that Think Beyond’s award submission clearly explained the significance of how and why they use technology in their application, and this immediately got our attention.

We thought it was really impressive how they described how they have applied their expertise in neuroscience to meet a client’s marketing goals.

Who are Think Beyond?

Think Beyond is a management consultancy that provides solutions to help businesses grow, find new opportunities and increase business performance. Their services are split into Research, Plan, Change and Enable to increase value creation. Think Beyond describe themselves as a ‘critical friend’ for companies who are seeking market intelligence or better business outcomes, offering independent, impartial and innovative support to businesses.

We are delighted that these cutting-edge innovations were recognised at such a prestigious awards gathering.”

DriveWorks High Sheriff’s Awards

In 2019, we were extremely honoured to receive two High Sheriff’s Awards for Enterprise ourselves.

We received the Award for Innovation,  for demonstrating our ability to create, nurture and develop new products.

We were also joint winners of the Cheshire Business Exporter of the Year Award, alongside the Tall Group. The award recognised significant growth in international business through a clear commitment to the development of new export market opportunities.

Our CEO Glen Smith and Vice President Maria Sarkar attended the awards ceremony at Chester Racecourse. They were presented with the awards by Alexis Redmond MBE, the 2018/19 High Sherriff of Cheshire.

Since winning the awards, we were inspired to get involved and support the High Sheriff of Cheshire awards ourselves to help recognise and celebrate other businesses in our area.
