A Round Up of DriveWorks World 2019

A Week of Learning, Networking and Sharing Ideas

Last week our team were in Chicago, joined by over 180 customers, resellers and partners for a week of learning, networking and sharing ideas.

We revealed What’s New in DriveWorks 17 and presented training, hands-on learning and advanced sessions.

MicroTek Chicago provided the ideal base for technical training and being in the heart of downtown Chicago meant there was plenty of opportunity for networking each evening!

DriveWorks Pro Essentials and Sales Configurator Training

On Monday and Tuesday, 5 rooms full of delegates took the DriveWorks Pro Essentials Training and then went on to take the DriveWorks Pro Certification. At DriveWorks World 2019, 85 people became Certified DriveWorks Professionals (CDWPs).

We also introduced the brand new DriveWorks Pro Sales Configurator training, for those who aren’t automating any CAD. Another room of delegates sat this training to learn about building a great sales configurator.

What’s New in DriveWorks 17 Event

On Tuesday evening we took over the basement of a British themed bar where we served fish and chips, bangers and mash, curry and beer whilst Glen Smith, CEO of DriveWorks revealed What’s New in DriveWorks 17.

The room was full of excitement as the latest features, functionality and updates were shown.

DriveWorks Pro Advanced Sessions

From Wednesday to Friday, we then hosted 97 sessions, covering different topics at a variety of skill levels. The sessions were a mix of hands-on technical training, presentations and discussions.

The sessions ranged from core topics such as rules, 3D, workflow, design automation, to newer trends such as 3D printing, CPQ, the cloud, business process automation and digital transformation.

Before the event, delegates built their own agenda, choosing the sessions that suited them best.

DriveWorks User Presentations

Throughout the week, a variety of companies shared with us the many different ways they use DriveWorks.

It’s always fascinating to see how everyone uses DriveWorks differently. There were presentations on designing custom saws, configuring conveyors, roller shutter doors and van interiors and one delegate even showed us how they’ve created a game of poker in DriveWorks!

Using DriveWorks software is changing the way our customers do business.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at DriveWorks World 2019!
