MACPUAR (MP), based in Spain, manufacture elevators, escalators, moving walkways, and elevator components, and their products are sold in over 80 countries.
Before using DriveWorks, paper documentation and a disjointed process across multiple departments led to rework and a lack of traceability. They needed a tool to automatically generate all the necessary documentation for the order process and reduce errors from manual tasks.
The solution
MP used DriveWorks to build a configurator to automate production files for their complex elevator cabin products. The configurator is used by their technical departments. They store their design rules in DriveWorks to ensure designs are accurate and can be manufactured. DriveWorks then automatically generates all of the documentation required for production.
The configurator is linked to the production management system to ensure a streamlined data flow.
Since using DriveWorks, MP have seen a significant reduction in order processing time. Automation eliminates manual errors and ensures accuracy in the designs, which improves the customer experience.
Overall production and manufacturing costs are also reduced.
