Graduate Applications Engineer

Starting salary: £29,000

About the role

We’re looking for a motivated graduate from engineering or product design to join our Technical Team in Warrington. If you have a genuine interest in technology, automation, and solving real-world problems, then we’re interested to hear from you. You must be reliable, resourceful, and a good problem solver. Experience with SOLIDWORKS and Microsoft Excel will help you stand out, as will an interest in coding and strong analytical skills.

The role involves communicating with teams and customers around the world, so clear and professional communication skills are essential.

As a Graduate Applications Engineer, you’ll quickly become an important part of our team, contributing to projects that influence how manufacturing companies work across the globe. You will be involved in:

  • Providing technical support to our worldwide reseller network, taking a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Building configurators and technical demonstrations that showcase the capabilities of our software – see examples at www.driveworkslive.com.
  • Continuous learning and development, working towards recognised industry-relevant certifications such as Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP).
  • Gaining hands-on experience with automation, design engineering, and advanced digital tools.
  • Defining new functionality and features to be incorporated in DriveWorks software.
  • Proving objectives have been met, and high standards have been reached through comprehensive testing of new DriveWorks software releases.
