DriveWorks Welcomes Paul Gimbel to The Team

Paul Gimbel Joins the DriveWorks Team

We are excited to welcome a new member to our Team, seasoned DriveWorks Expert, Paul Gimbel.

Many of you will recognize Paul. He has been a DriveWorks advocate for many years and his long-standing role in this industry has established him as a valued member of the DriveWorks Community.

He’s a contributor in the DriveWorks forums, at events, and as a technical blogger.

Now, we are delighted to announce we’re welcoming Paul into the heart of our team as DriveWorks Sherpa.

Paul brings with him a wealth of industry experience and years of accumulated technical knowledge and insight.

His passion for technology and dedication to learning, combined with his vast knowledge of DriveWorks, make Paul the ideal addition to our team.

Paul’s career so far spans 25+ years in tech, working with SOLIDWORKS, and he has vast experience in automation.

In his career, Paul was a founder of successful SOLIDWORKS and DriveWorks reseller TriMech Solutions. Formed as a company ‘for engineers, by engineers’ Paul’s vision was to find the best tools and techniques engineering companies could implement to exceed.

More recently Paul worked as a Business Process Sherpa at DriveWorks Partner, Razorleaf Corporation. During Paul’s time at Razorleaf, he led the Design Automation team taking the technical lead for companies implementing DriveWorks, developing custom plugins for DriveWorks and SOLIDWORKS, and providing custom training and mentoring services.

“After almost twenty years in the DriveWorks community, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to support and contribute to that community as a member of the DriveWorks team. I’m looking forward to expanding the US technical presence and supporting our internal teams as well as our resellers, customers and partners worldwide in any wide variety of ways”

Paul Gimbel, DriveWorks Sherpa

Paul is an enthusiast for innovation and automation. Over the years, as a Partner, he advised others on DriveWorks implementations and presented at DriveWorks World. He is well placed to inspire everyone inside and outside the business to support our growth.

Based in the USA, Paul will also work with our team to provide technical insight for our North American resellers and users.

“We have known Paul well for many years and know that he will provide input on many different areas of the business including product definition, training content, documentation, and much more. We value his opinion and are pleased to have him on our team.”

Growing the DriveWorks Team

We are always pleased to be growing the DriveWorks team and welcoming new employees.

Over the past year, we have had lots of new starters across all areas of the business.

In 2021 as well as celebrating our 20-year anniversary, we also received investment from BGF, an established, independent investment company that has backed almost 400 businesses in the UK since 2011.

BGF’s funding is already supporting investment in the company and in our technology.

In May 2021, we welcomed experienced senior business leader, Sharon Baylay as Non-Executive Chair.
Then in October, we welcomed Philip Stears  as Chief Technology Officer.

We have also welcomed more placement and graduate students than ever to our team in 2022!
