We’ve been attending DEVELOP3D Live since the first event in 2012, and this year was no different. Once again we were proud to be a Silver Sponsor.
Held in Sheffield last week, DEVELOP3D Live 2022 featured over 30 amazing speakers from a variety of world-renowned design, engineering and technology companies. The event was made up of over 60 exhibitors, including us, showcasing the latest in product development technology.
This year, there was a wide variety of keynote presentations which were streamed online for anyone around the world to watch.
The main stage of the event hosted many key players, including SOLIDWORKS CEO, Manish Kumar.
Manish presented on moving beyond designing just products. He shared real-world examples of designing for experience and how this approach has the power to improve lives, and positively influence behaviour.
Showcasing Our New Booth
The DriveWorks stand was located in the Octagon building of Sheffield University. Our team were based here chatting with engineers and designers, showcasing our award-winning software and the power of design automation and CPQ for manufacturing.
Impressively made by our CEO, Glen Smith who is a Mechanical Engineer, the booth is made up of four 60-inch TVs bolted together. It certainly was an attention grabber and a great conversation starter.
We had lots of interesting conversations during the event and it was great to see so many recognising and embracing the need for digital technology. Through speaking with all kinds of people in the industry, we found more than ever the need for companies to be flexible and agile.
DriveWorks VP, Maria Sarkar commented on the event “It was great to meet new engineers just starting their careers, hear inspiring company stories, and of course, wonderful to reconnect with inspiring leaders that have influenced me personally.”
