T-Level Employer Information Event
On Tuesday 25th June Bridie from the DriveWorks team will be attending the T-level Employer Information Event at Priestley College.
T-levels are brand new technical qualifications being launched from September 2020. They are a genuine alternative to A-Levels or an Apprenticeship. These two-year vocational qualifications are highly industry focused, include a 45 day compulsory placement, and aim to prepare students for; skilled employment in a technical occupation, progression to higher or degree level apprenticeships or, higher level technical study.
Priestley College is one of only fifty providers in the country selected to launch T-level qualifications in September 2020, including:
- Childcare and education
- Software Engineering
They expect to add more T-Level qualification lines to their portfolio as the government launches them between now and 2024.
In preparing for the launch of these qualifications, Priestley College is keen to involve reputable local employers in order to build a strong network of placement providers, who understand the ethos of the T-Levels and are committed to developing a skilled workforce for their sector in our area.
The event takes place on Tuesday 25th June from 9:30 to 11:30am at the Priestley College Campus, Loushers Lane. The event will allow for a more detailed discussion about T-Level delivery and will also include time to explore how the above qualifications can benefit and support your organisation. Refreshments will be available.
