The DriveWorks Christmas Tree: Day Five

This year our Christmas tree is decorated with the faces of our team members.
Each day we will be taking a look at who’s on the tree and finding out more about how they spend the holidays.

Meet Matt and Sarah

Matt

My favourite thing about the festive season is Christmas songs. Every year, with my family, we would get to a certain point in November/December and my dad would get out the Christmas albums and start playing them in the house. That was always the sign that Christmas had begun. There a few songs that really get me into the Christmas spirit and remind me of home and family.

My favourite tradition about Christmas is waking up, going down stairs and opening presents in front of the Christmas tree with family and seeing the happy expressions on everyone’s face.

I also love a Christmas dinner. Pigs in blankets are the best thing about a Christmas dinner, they are amazing. ?

Sarah and I had a really exciting 2018. In June, we got married in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and had the best day of our lives with all our family and friends.

This year our usual family traditions are going out the window, as Matt and I will be spending Christmas in our own home for the first time, instead of at our parents’ houses.

We’ll be cooking our first Christmas dinner together, which of course will include Yorkshire puddings.

I’m really looking forward to a relaxing day, eating lots and watching films.

2018 has been my favourite year so far, the highlight of which was getting married to Matt in June. We had a perfect day surrounded by wonderful people.
