DriveWorks Recognised for Both Innovation and International Trade

We’re thrilled to announce that we have been awarded two highly covetedQueens Awards for Enterprise!

We have been recognised for both Innovation and International Trade.

Since 1966, The Queens Awards for Enterprise have been awarded to businesses in the UK for outstanding achievement.

The Queen makes the Awards on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee.

Presentation ceremonies are conducted at the winners premises, by the Lord-Lieutenant of the County as HM The Queens representative. The Awards consist of a Grant of Appointment and a presentational item bearing the Emblem.

Winning organisations may fly the Queens Award flag at their principal premises and are entitled to use the Emblem on their stationery, advertising and goods.

‘We are thrilled to receive these two Queens Awards. They are tangible recognition of the vision and passion for technology, that inspires our entire team,’

-Glen Smith, DriveWorks CEO

Customisation and Personalisation Drive Sales

In todays digital market, offering personalised or custom designs, is a highly profitable way of adding value to a business and building brand loyalty. This approach is popular in the business-to-consumer sector and our software has made it a reality for the business-to-business manufacturing sector too.

Here at DiveWorks we bring together engineering and sales teams to allow manufacturing companies of all sizes to offer customisable and configurable products to help realize their digital strategy.

Differentiating in the Industry

Using DriveWorks software, companies can quickly and easily display configured products online, in 3D, and generate accurate quotes and sales documentation.

What is particularly innovative about our software is that it also automates the creation of all the downstream manufacturing drawings and production data too. Production can begin as soon as an order is placed, and customers then benefit from shorter lead times.

Companies that embrace DriveWorks rules-based technology, typically win more orders, are able to reduce errors and are more profitable.

Our software empowers companies to create and maintain their own configurators without having to write code themselves. This sets us apart from other configurator solutions on the market.

Continuous Innovation

From the outset, we’ve been committed to innovation. We are also a SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD Certified Gold Partner and Microsoft Development Partner. We are agile and responsive to ever-changing market opportunities and our team’s development roadmap embraces Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality.

Our collaborative work-spaces and company culture all foster innovation. Its at the heart of everything we do. Everyone here at DriveWorks is incredibly dedicated to creating great, innovative software for our customers all over the world. Being recognized with two highly coveted Queens Awards for Enterprise inspires us to do even more.

DriveWorks Solo Tech Tip: Additional File Formats

Along with generating new SOLIDWORKS Parts, Assemblies and Drawings, you can set up your DriveWorks Solo Projects so generated SOLIDWORKS files are saved in additional file formats.

You may want to create a PDF version of a SOLIDWORKS Drawing so it can be sent to a customer, or you may require a DXF of a part for manufacturing.

Instead of having to manually save the generated SOLIDWORKS files in the required formats, you can automate this process by capturing the additional file formats against the SOLIDWORKS file inside DriveWorks Solo.

With a captured model open, you will notice a File Formats tab. With this selected, you can capture additional file formats for a file. The file formats that can be captured change depending on the type of SOLIDWORKS file that you have open, this reflects the file formats available inside SOLIDWORKS.

Each available file format type can be set to one of the following:

  • No – the file format is not captured.
  • Yes – the file format is captured and will be created each time the model is generated with the same name and location as its parent SOLIDWORKS file.
  • With Rules – the file format is captured but rules can dictate if it is to be created and the location it is stored.
