Upcoming Virtual SWUGN Meetings

Get Involved!

For the past few months, we’ve seen a switch to virtual user group meetings across the world, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It doesn’t look like we’ll be back to in person meetings in the near future, but luckily SOLIDWORKS has been working with user group leaders from around the world to bring you more virtual user group meetings!

Over the next couple of months, SOLIDWORKS will be bringing you different virtual events, focusing on SOLIDWORKS tips & tricks.

The events will be hosted at 7pm (GMT), so they can be enjoyed around the world!

Find out more below.

SOLIDWORKS Modelling Methods

Thursday 29th October, 7pm (GMT)

This will be a virtual event.

What’s on the Agenda?

Whether you’re new to SOLIDWORKS, or a Certified Expert, saving time on your modelling is always a bonus!

This session will be hosted by Kam Smith, Lead Mechanical Engineer for one of the Army’s prototyping labs on the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.

This is where the US Army does most of their research, development and system testing.

Kam is also the founder and president of APG SWUG, as well as the Mid-Atlantic Region SWUGN Committee Rep.

Kam’s session will provide many time-saving tips and tricks in a workflow-centric approach.

Attendees will learn how to apply these techniques to their daily tasks, by seeing them applied in the context of past Model Mania competition parts.

Chris has been using SOLIDWORKS for 10 years with exposure in several areas, from model based design and aerospace & space design, to research and hobby work.

Chris and Dan will demonstrate how the new design apps on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform can become the secret ingredient you need to serve up SOLIDWORKS designs that are “cooked to perfection”.

Join the meeting and learn how to improve your design workflows with the latest and greatest tips and tricks!
