Sending HTTP Requests Has Never Been So Much Fun

Every Thursday the DriveWorks Tech Team share their knowledge and expertise in these 30 minute value added webinars exclusively for DriveWorks Reseller AEs and DriveWorks Pro customers on subscription support.

On Thursday, September 29th, DriveWorks Applications Engineer, Karl will be sharing his knowledge about Sending HTTP Requests.

In DriveWorks 14, we introduced the ‘Send HTTP Request’ task. This allows DriveWorks to integrate with 3rd party systems using Web services, and retrieve data through the use of an Application Programming Interface (API).

The retrieved data can then be used in a current specification for a variety of reasons such as calculating shipping costs or communicating with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

To explain the ‘Send HTTP Request’ task in more detail, Karl will cover:
• Web services and the benefits of using them
• The ‘Send HTTP Request’ task in action
• How the ‘Send HTTP Request’ task can be used
• The use of new functions: ‘XPathXMLGet’ and ‘XPathJSONGet’
• Simple and complex examples of the ‘Send HTTP Request’ task
