Creating a Catalogue Project Using the DriveWorks Catalogue Template
Every Thursday the DriveWorks Tech Team share their knowledge and expertise in these 30 minute value added webinars exclusively for DriveWorks Reseller AEs and DriveWorks Pro customers on subscription support.
In DriveWorks 12, Service Pack 2, we introduced the concept of Group Templates. This includes a Catalogue Template which can be used to create a catalogue to showcase your products.
On Thursday, March 31st, DriveWorks Technical Application Specialist, Matt will create a project using the Catalogue Template and demonstrate what it does, how you could use it yourself and the ways it can be modified.
To show you how to use the Catalogue Template to its full potential, Matt will look at:
- Group Templates and where to find them.
- Creating a Group and Project from the Template.
- An overview of the Catalogue Template, including:
- Adding Products
- Customizing the User Interface (adding images and text)
- Data structure
- Output (Files and Data)
If you’re in the process of creating similar DriveWorks projects, understanding how to use the Catalogue Template could potentially save you a lot of time by using it as a base when creating your project.
The Catalogue Template is also a great resource for those just starting with DriveWorks. Using a template provides a great foundation to help you get started with your project as rather than starting with a completely blank project, most of the setup is already complete.
This means that you could have a project up and running within a few minutes that contains your company’s products and can be used by your customers.
Matt created the catalogue project that the template is built around, so he has in-depth knowledge on how it’s been set up and why it was created in this format. During the webinar he will share his knowledge and give you some tips on setting up your own project using the Catalogue Template.
We welcome questions throughout and after the webinar.
The webinar will take place at 4pm GMT on Thursday, March 31st.
