Where to Stay During DriveWorks World 2020

Once you’re registered for DriveWorks World 2020, it’s time to think about accommodation during the event. DriveWorks World is being held at the EngineRooms at Birchwood Park. Birchwood Park has an onsite hotel and great transport links so there are lots of accommodation options for different budgets and group sizes. See our recommendations below.

Recommended: Pentahotel Warrington

The EngineRooms is situated on Birchwood Park and is the main hub for DriveWorks World 2020.

We recommend delegates stay at the Pentahotel. It’s ideally located on Birchwood Park, just a 5-minute walk from the EngineRooms so you’ll always be at the heart of the action.

A limited number of rooms are available at a special discounted rate for DriveWorks World attendees. You must book before March 6th 2020 to secure the special rate. Only a small number of rooms are available at the special rate so book early to avoid disappointment.

If you miss out on a room at the Pentahotel or you’re looking for a different type of accommodation, we’ve listed some other options below.

Hotels Within Driving Distance

The following hotels are a short drive from The EngineRooms and are very easily accessible by car.

Don’t forget to check the property’s reviews and transport links to the EngineRooms before you book.

Stay in a City

Warrington is sandwiched between Manchester, Liverpool and Chester and has great links to the rail and motorway routes that connect the UK.
So if you would like to do some sightseeing whilst you’re in the UK and are happy to travel to and from the EngineRooms each day, have a look for options in nearby cities.

Manchester

A city with a rich industrial heritage.

There is lots to see and do and plenty of places to eat and drink.

Manchester is full of beautiful architecture, history, football, museums and entertainment.

It’s just 20 minutes from Warrington on the train.

Liverpool

Liverpool has more museums and galleries than any other UK city, and it’s no surprise with its colourful music and maritime heritage.

There is lots to do in Liverpool, there’s something for everyone and it has great food and drink options too.

Get there by train from Warrington in under 30 minutes.

Chester

Chester is a smaller city, famous for it’s roman city walls and Tudor style architecture.

The cathedral, museums and zoo will keep you busy and the surrounding villages have lots to offer.

Chester has many shops, bars and restaurants too.

Just 30 minutes on the train from Warrington.

Getting to the EngineRooms

From Central Warrington

There are two train stations in the centre of Warrington – Warrington Central and Warrington Bank Quay.

Both stations have regular routes to and from Birchwood station.

There is a shuttle bus between Birchwood station and the EngineRooms.

From Manchester Airport

We recommend using StreetCars taxis. You can either book in advance, or head to the StreetCars desk in the arrivals hall. You can hail black cabs outside the airport however they are usually more expensive.

There are also trains from Manchester Airport to Warrington and direct to Birchwood.

From Liverpool Airport

A taxi is the best way to get to and from the airport.

There are no options to book a taxi at arrivals so you can either book in advance or hail a cab from outside the taxi.

We recommend pre-booking for the best price.

By Car

The EngineRoom is situated on Birchwood Park.

It is easily accessible from the major motorways that connect the UK, just minutes from the M62 (J11) and the M6 (J21a).

There is free parking onsite for DriveWorks World delegates too.
