The DriveWorks Christmas Tree: Day One

This year our Christmas tree is decorated with the faces of our team members.
Each day we will be taking a look at who’s on the tree and finding out more about how they spend the holidays.

Meet Danny, Nicola and Bridie

Danny

I love December as not only is it my Birthday month, but it is tradition for me to receive a handmade advent calendar consisting of 25 craft beers that I haven’t had before courtesy of my lovely girlfriend. A perfect pairing for all of the beer has to be the sheer amount of cheese and crackers that I consume. I am looking forward to cooking and hosting Christmas this year for our family, and hope to carry on the tradition as I prefer to be in charge!

Here is a picture of all of our advent calendars last year – I won a second beer calendar in a Twitter competition, and the pork scratching calendar was a perfect accompaniment!

Nicola

My favourite thing about Christmas is all the lights, my house will have multicoloured ones and a baby reindeer this year.

My family always has croissants and hot chocolate for breakfast and usually we end up pushing Christmas dinner a couple of hours later because we have had too much breakfast and spent too long playing with presents.

This year we have bought Louis and Finley a Duplo Cargo Train which Santa is going to set up for them to wake up to on Christmas morning. They will also be getting a scooter each, so I’m expecting some trips to A&E in the new year!

Here are my boys with their cousin, Ralph.

Bridie

My favourite part about Christmas is Christmas Eve. Every year my family and I head to Knutsford for a big walk around Tatton Park, we take a football (which usually ends up in the lake/stuck in a tree), have a kick about and get some fresh air.

We then go for a meal and end up in the pub with our extended family.

The tradition started as a way for my parents to tire my brothers and I out, so we’d actually get some sleep on Christmas Eve and it’s still working 24 years later!
