The DriveWorks team has expanded from our single office 14 years ago, now we’ve filled The Barley Store at our Laskey Farm site and taken on more of the surrounding barns and out-buildings!
Of course DriveWorks wouldn’t be such a great place without the people that make up our team.
In this series of Meet The Team blogs, we’re introducing you to those people that make and shape our team.
Colin was recruited at DriveWorks right out of University and ever since he has signed off every email with ‘Woo yay and hoopla!’
So, let’s meet our happiest dev…
I volunteer at a local care group, where I get to meet lots of interesting people and play my hand at being a taxi man! They don’t like to listen to death metal in my car though…
Long walks on the beach
Three words your friends would use to describe you:
Likes the name ‘Dave’
What was your dream job when you were a child?
Mad scientist. I wanted to be able to turn myself into a werewolf on command and parkour the rooftops of Manchester!
How did you end up at DriveWorks?
I was recruited straight out of university. I didn’t really do a programming degree, but I coded in my spare time and just loved to code. DriveWorks saw that and took me in – I have grown so much since then I’ve been honored with a Senior Developer role!
Time at DriveWorks:
It’s currently 10.39 BST
Best thing you have done in that time:
I learned how to really code and be professional.
What do you enjoy about DriveWorks?
Everyone working here feels like family to me 🙂
I’m suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper excited about the future of DriveWorks!
I also like pizza and I end my emails with “Woo, yay and hoopla”
Favourite DriveWorks 12 feature:
Dropped support for Excel based projects. Meaning more features, simpler code and just a plain old better DriveWorks!
Favourite overall DriveWorks feature:
The SDK is pretty great. It’s basically what we at DriveWorks use and allows everyone using DriveWorks to extend it however they wish!
