Meet The Team: Matt – Author of the DriveWorks Implementation Guides

Get to know the team behind DriveWorks.

The DriveWorks team is rapidly growing, from being a small three man team 14 years ago, we are now outgrowing the biggest building on our Laskey Farm site and moving into the smallersurrounding buildings!

DriveWorks wouldn’t be such a great place without the people that make up our team.

In this series of Meet The Team blogs, you’ll meet the people behind our company, including lots of new team members joining us very soon…

Next to give their story is Matt, our Technical Applications Specialist, and author of the DriveWorks Implementation Guides.

When we asked Matt to tell us the story of how he ended up here at DriveWorks, his answer was “A stork dropped me off”. Yep, he really has been here that long!

The real story of how Matt joined our team is that he applied for a 12 month placement at DriveWorks between his second and third year at university. After he graduated, Matt came back to DriveWorks on a graduate scheme and has been with us ever since!

So, let’s meet Matt…

Cycling, gym, Xbox, quadcopter building, making stuff, movies

Three words your friends would use to describe you:

Time at DriveWorks:
3+ years

cswe_logoBest thing you have done in that time:
I am pretty pleased that I got my CSWP and CSWE.

What do you enjoy about DriveWorks?
I enjoy the work environment and working among friends.
I like that we have up to date technology and work with the latest software and products.

Favourite DriveWorks 12 feature:
Thats a difficult one. I like so many features of DriveWorks 12. I am a big advocate for Drive3D so I will have to say the new Drive3D features. On Preview Complete Macro, Saving a 3D document as .drive3d file, Run 3D Preview Macro task.

Favourite overall DriveWorks feature:
Calculation Tables. Another DriveWorks 12 feature but it makes some implementations so much easier. Calculations that you would usually put in Variables can now be made easily in Calc Tables with a lot less repetition and chasing values.
