DriveWorks Christmas Countdown – 9 Days To Go
This year we are continuing our christmas tradition with a DriveWorks count down to Christmas. We will be celebrating this festive season with a closer look at all members of the DriveWorks team and learn a little bit about the way they spend the holidays.
9 Days to Go!
Earl and I are looking forward to a nice Christmas this year at home. As our 3 children are all off at their different Universities, Christmas this year will be great as they will all be home for a few weeks to celebrate. Christmas brings with it many traditions that we have as a family – from decorating our home with the “Misfit” dolls from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer to having a custom made ‘family’ ornament made every year to add to our tree, to opening up our Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve – all of these things mean Christmas to our family and I hope they carry on with our children as they start their own families.
2019 was a fantastic year for me! In May, I ran my first full marathon in Maine with a time of 5 hours, 23 minutes. This was an achievement of a lifetime and I am ever so thankful for the love and support of both my family, friends and co-workers. Every week was a chance to chat up the training and hear words of encouragement from everyone – it’s truly a life accomplishment for me that I will take with me always, until I run my next one!
In the Fall, I was honoured to be able to travel to our offices in the UK to attend our Technology Day as well as the Queen’s Award Presentation. The day was fantastic for me professionally and personally – I am so proud to work for this company and being able to represent DriveWorks in North America. Being a small town girl from New York, I’d never dreamed of being able to meet the Queen’s Lord-Lieutenant, David Briggs. He’s so tall!
Later in the Fall, Earl and I attended a beautiful wedding on the North Shore of New England – it was hosted at a real castle! We were honoured to be invited to celebrate the marriage of Boston SWUG leader Dan Herzberg and his wife Kay – a great time was had by all as many group leaders from around the word joined us for this special occasion!
Life continues to be an adventure with our dogs. As many have come to know my boxer Seeley – he is quite the character. Seeley joined me on camera for the 4th annual SLUGME event that we were a part of this year – he stole the show for a bit!
Looking forward to the holidays and all that comes with it as well as the new year – 2020 will be a fantastic year and I look forward to what it brings for our family!
Best to you and yours for a happy and healthy holiday season!
