DriveWorks Christmas Countdown – 7 Days To Go
This year we are continuing our christmas tradition with a DriveWorks count down to Christmas. We will be celebrating this festive season with a closer look at all members of the DriveWorks team and learn a little bit about the way they spend the holidays.
7 Days to Go!
Christmas Eve is always one of the best days of the year for me. I meet up with all of my school friends and do a pub crawl through the village where we grew up completing the 12 Pints of Christmas.
Christmas Dinner never disappoints. My brother flies back from the US and it is the best time of year to spend time with friends and family.
2019 has been a very busy year for me. I have been involved in some amazing trips abroad both in work and outside of work. The highlights would be the visits to India, US and Vietnam. I am looking forward to DriveWorks World being back in the UK in 2020!
Christmas time in my family is a time to relax and spend time together. We enjoy having a traditional Christmas dinner followed by Christmas pudding. Christmas day normally consists of opening presents and watching the Christmas special programmes.
A highlight of 2019 has been visiting New York followed by a Caribbean cruise. While in New York, it did snow and everywhere was very white! I did a lot of the tourist attractions such as Empire State and Top of the Rock. However, I was excited to be heading off to a very hot Caribbean after New York. I got to visit many different Caribbean islands such as, Barbados, St Lucia and Antigua.
In 2020 I am looking forward to completing my degree in Business and Management. I have been studying part time for 5 years so I will be happy to graduate and I look forward to celebrating!
Christmas has always been one of my favourite times of the year because it’s a very family orientated event and Christmas Eve will always be a special day for me. We have a family tradition of going for a big walk at Tatton Park (in the past it was my parents plan to tire my brothers and me out before the big day!), then we go to the pub and see our extended family.
Christmas day has become a lot more relaxed as we’ve got older, the boys go to the pub and my mum and I have some champagne and quiet time without them before Christmas dinner.
2019 has been a great year for me, I ran my first marathon, my brother got married and DriveWorks have given me the opportunity to study for a Diploma in Digital Marketing which I’ll complete next year!
Next year I will also become an aunty for the first time. Merry Christmas!
For me the bigger the group the better the Christmas.
Most Christmas’ include a little travel to either friends or family but after last year, when I flew into Manchester on Christmas eve and then back out on boxing day, I’m thankful this year will involve a little less travel time.
Once I’ve finished work, I’ll be spending my Christmas eve in the pub with friends, drinking and catching up. It’s a tradition which I enjoy until right up until 11:59pm and slowly start to regret from 12am Christmas day onwards.
