DriveWorks Christmas Countdown – 5 Days To Go
This year we are continuing our christmas tradition with a DriveWorks count down to Christmas. We will be celebrating this festive season with a closer look at all members of the DriveWorks team and learn a little bit about the way they spend the holidays.
5 Days to Go!
My favourite thing about Christmas is seeing my family and friends and watching people open the awesome (and often offensive) presents I’ve bought them.
Over the Christmas period, I’ll be partaking in a couple of friends Christmas parties and will be wrapping my presents with my 3 favourite Christmas films on in the background (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon and Bad Santa, thanks for asking).
Lauren and I have purchased our first home just in time for Christmas. I am looking forward to putting up the rest of our decorations – we have already draped a thousand multicoloured lights around the trees in our front garden and have a snowflake projector on the wall.
I am also excited to have lots of cooking and dining room to prepare my second Christmas dinner and subsequent festive meals for our families and friends – I love to host, feed and water people!
Finally, I will be tucking into some of the special beers in my stash – lots of imperial stouts above 10% and crazy sour stuff. Tis the season to be jolly and all that. I certainly shall be.
I cannot wait to see what 2020 brings for us in our new home, and sense some very busy evenings and weekends for the foreseeable!
I’ve always loved Christmas. I love the festive music and films, buying gifts for people and how everyone is so happy at this time of year.
This year is extra special as we have just bought and moved into our first home together and are hosting Christmas Day for the second time. Our calendars are fully booked with activities and friends and family coming to see us throughout December so it’s going to be a fun month. I also might have snuck a few more decorations into the house this year… including a second Christmas tree.
Next year I am looking forward to getting stuck in with decorating our house and making it our own and hopefully having a holiday or a weekend break or two.
My favourite thing about the festive season is being allowed to over-indulge in festive treats and a few good beers. This year we’re hosting Christmas at home and there will be 13 of us in total! For the past month, I’ve been rushing around trying to re-decorate parts of the house so that we have a large enough space where we will all be able to eat and enjoy the day together. I’m really looking forward to putting the tools down and taking some time out to relax!
I’m not sure that I can pick out one specific highlight from 2019 as we’ve made so many lovely memories watching our first child develop and experienced a wide range of things for the first time. She’s just starting to take her first steps so this will open a whole new world of excitement and exploration in the new year!
