DriveWorks Christmas Countdown – 4 Days To Go
This year we are continuing our christmas tradition with a DriveWorks count down to Christmas. We will be celebrating this festive season with a closer look at all members of the DriveWorks team and learn a little bit about the way they spend the holidays.
4 Days to Go!
Christmas for me is all about catching up with my friends who live all over the place. We all come back home to Cumbria for a few weeks and get together for walks in the Lake District and many visits to the pub.
This year is bigger than previous years because 6 friends who now live in Australia are all coming back to Cumbria for Christmas and so it will be extra special having them back.
2019 has been an awesome year for me, I’ve been lucky enough to travel across the world, both for work and holiday. My girlfriend and I travelled around Australia for three weeks, taking in Sydney and the Blue Mountains before travelling in land to Alice Springs and picking up a campervan for 8 days, driving to Ayers Rock and then up through the outback to Darwin. Whilst at Ayers Rock I managed to muster up the courage to ask her to marry me and luckily, she said yes!
In 2020 I’m looking forward to spending more time travelling and seeing new places. Carol and I are hoping to buy our first home and so that will be exciting!
I’m so excited for Christmas this year. My boys are another year older and another year more enthusiastic about the arrival of the big red chap and lots of presents! Santa will be bringing a lot of Lego sets and a Peppa Pig fairground this year, I need to buy more storage boxes for plastic stuff. We’ll be at home to open presents in the morning and then to my parents’ house for Christmas chaos with all the little ones and enough food for 300 people!
Earlier this year we went to Disneyland Paris for the first time and bought lots of festive decorations and toys whilst we were there so I’m really excited to get them back out soon so we can relive some Disney magic at Christmas time. To get us even more into the festive mood we’ve booked Christmas light tours at Dunham Massey and Chester Zoo in the couple of weeks before the 25th, we’re really looking forward to those (mostly for the mulled wine!!)
Merry Christmas everyone!
