DriveWorks Christmas Countdown – 2 Days To Go
This year we are continuing our christmas tradition with a DriveWorks count down to Christmas. We will be celebrating this festive season with a closer look at all members of the DriveWorks team and learn a little bit about the way they spend the holidays.
2 Days to Go!
2019 has been a full-on year. On a personal level, I completed another 30 park runs, as well as four 10ks around Tatton Park. My 2019 running diary was topped off with the run from hill hell, The Yorkshireman Half Marathon (a 15 mile hill run in the Yorkshire countryside). At least I could share the pain with some of my DriveWorks colleagues! It was physically the hardest thing I have ever done.
Work wise, receiving two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in Innovation and International Trade was the proudest moment of my life. The awards were made extra special by a trip to Buckingham Palace (including a chat with HRH Prince Charles) and the open day we held at the offices to commemorate the presentation of the two awards. Being presented with two Queen’s Awards is a real testament to the dedication and hard work the DriveWorks team has put in over the past 18 years!
Christmas is my time to relax and prepare for another big year. I’m really looking forward to introducing the next release of DriveWorks to our customers, Resellers and prospective customers. It’s been quite a journey creating it, but I feel we are going to delight and surprise a lot of people.
In 2020, I’m particularly looking forward to DriveWorks World and 3DEXPERIENCE World!
December is probably the busiest month of the year for me personally at DriveWorks and there’s a real buzz around the office right now.
Thank you to all our customers and Resellers across the world for making 2019 an exceptional year for us. We had our Queens Award and Cheshire business award successes and it makes every moment seem worthwhile when we see our software being used in more and more companies every day.
I’m planning a couple of days off to relax and spend time with my family. Lawrence who lives in Austin, Texas will be home and as he is a technophile, like the rest of us, I’m sure we’ll be playing cool VR games and planning enhancements to our home automation system, as well as playing our traditional game of monopoly and watching the best Christmas film of all time, LOVE ACTUALLY!
Ruby is already fascinated by the Holly Wreath and Christmas decoration that I made at work and she is loving the tree. We’ve not been able to put any edible presents under it as she quickly sniffed those out!
So once again, to friends, family, colleagues and the wider DriveWorks family, a big THANK YOU. Here’s to a healthy, peaceful and Happy Christmas and an even better 2020.
This will be my second Christmas with my humans and I can’t wait!
Last Christmas, I had a great time opening my presents, being fussed and chasing my new ball!
I’ve had another fun year at DriveWorks, playing in the park on my lunch times, finding muddy puddles to bathe in and even making a new friend called Inky who I spent my birthday with earlier this month!
Next year I am looking forward to more cuddles and lots of attention from the DriveWorks team.
Merry Christmas everyone!
