We’re celebrating the festive season with our very own DriveWorks Advent Calendar. Each day, behind the doors will be a different member of the DriveWorks team and a little bit about the way they spend the holidays.
We all have so many reasons to celebrate the year 2016 at DriveWorks. We’ve had excitement in our personal lives with some of us graduating from University, getting married and purchasing new homes, and also lots of excitement as a company, reaching milestones together as a team.
We hope you have had a great year too and that 2017 will be even better.
Don’t forget to pop back each day to see who is behind the doors on our Advent Calendar, we hope you enjoy getting to know us!
Happy Holidays from everyone at DriveWorks!

This December, I find myself traveling to England to spend the weeks ahead of Christmas with my new ‘family’ at DriveWorks. While I will spend the week working, catching up and taking meetings with everyone – what’s most important is that time we get to spend together as well as being here for the DriveWorks Christmas party being held this evening – it will sure be loads of fun! We all have so many reasons to celebrate the year 2016 at DriveWorks, it’s been a great year and I am so happy to have been a part of this team and shared in some of those events and celebrations!
As we celebrate the season, it’s easy to think back on traditions from holidays’ past. Something that I’d like to share is a memory from my childhood and a tradition that has been carried with me through the years.
When I was a little girl, we would always go to my grandparents’ home on Christmas Eve to open presents and enjoy some Christmas Eve sweets. One of the best parts of this evening was that we always received a pair of new pajamas that night as part of our gifts and I couldn’t wait to put them on as soon as we got home (perhaps it was a ploy to get us to go to sleep that night!). When I wore my new pajamas to bed on Christmas Eve, it would give me a special feeling for the night as I would fall asleep excited for what was to come the next day. Come Christmas morning I was ‘ready’ for whatever Santa had left for my brothers and I under the Christmas Tree. Now, many years later as a mother, we continue this tradition with having our kids open up a gift on Christmas Eve that they KNOW are pajamas, yet they love it same as I did as a child. Perhaps they really think it’s corny and that their mom has gone mad or perhaps they will carry it on when they start a family – it’s just something that always made me feel special and I wanted to share that with my kids so they have a piece of my own childhood and some of the ‘magic’ that Christmas Eve Pajamas may bring them…..maybe they will share this with their own children in the future!
