Ben Potter, Application Engineer for Concepts In Production, LLC, will present “What’s New SOLIDWORKS 2018: Core Functionality.”

This presentation will be a look into the new and improved features that users interact with on a daily basis. The presentation will be spent working in SOLIDWORKS, with a focus on Parts, Assemblies, and Drawings.

SOLIDWOKRS 2018 aims to improve productivity and empower the user. With enhancements and new Features like 3D Sketch mirroring, Tab and Slot Feature, Linear Pattern Rotation, Smart Explode Lines, and much more.

Tommy Ray, Application Engineer for ModernTech, will present a deep dive into “Solidworks CAM.” SOLIDWORKS 2018 What’s New introduced SOLIDWORKS CAM to the offering. SOLIDWORKS CAM is integrated into the SOLIDWORKS CAD software and allows you to use 3D models to create the CAM features and programs for your CNC machines.

From Automatic Feature Recognition to a Post Process code editor, this tool will allow you to take your 3D models from a virtual state to a physical state in no time. SOLIDWORKS CAM also will alert you when changes have been made so updates to models are not an issue.
